Let’s do something good.
Narrative Strategist
Folksy, lucid, and intellectual, I write deep-dives with heart, telling stories that lead us to feel. From web copy to fundraising appeals to op-eds, my pen has helped shape local housing policy and built bridges in both public and private sectors. I get jazzed about ideas with impact.
Let’s make waves.

Kalos Communities
I’m excited to announce a new venture: Kalos Communities.
“Kalos” is a classical Greek concept meaning “goodness” and “beauty,” but it’s deeper than that. The morally good should be sensually compelling, and beauty has moral value.
Through my community advocacy work, I’ve found a win-win scenario – a Kalos opportunity – that people should know about.
Kitsap has a housing crisis. Churches and other nonprofits often have developable land to spare. Public funds exist to build affordable housing and empower nonprofits to become landlords.
Sounds good on paper, right? But how to get started? How to develop a vision, find partners who can execute, secure funding?
That’s where I come in. I believe affordable housing shouldn’t be a sacrifice – it should be an asset, something that reflects your organization’s goals and personality – and stay budget-positive. As a consultant, I provide pre-development insight and grant-writing strategies that help transform a campus into a village that is both good and beautiful.
